The famous and long-established Edinburgh Folk Club, held weekly at The Pleasance Bar, has just released a CD of acts recorded live at the club in the last twelve months. Jez is the only Englishman on the album, a true honour he feels, with his rendition of YANKEE BOOTS, a song very popular in Scotland since being recorded by The McCalmans a few years ago. Jez’s original version, from his 1988 album Bad Penny, is slated for inclusion on his forthcoming Best of compilation… Jez and the band are at Saltburn Festival this weekend, with appearances on Saturday and Sunday. Simon Haworth is back on bass for the band as David de la Haye is elsewhere with The Monster Ceilidh Band this week… David and Jez reunite for recording sessions in Cornwall next week on a new album by Jake Walton.
