Jez made quite a splash at Whitby Folk Festival this week, both solo and with the band, who were augmented “Big Band”-style by Rob Kay and Hinny Pawsey. At one point, he was also backed by Tom Paley’s band and a host of others at a club event, and even played bass for a 60′s rock band at a lunchtime session. He’s en route to Towersey Festival as we write… Most interesting news comes via Jez’s Facebook site, where he let slip that he has just recorded a duet with legendary singer/songwriter Vin Garbutt, on a track for the upcoming compilation CD!! No word as to what the track is, but this news has caused quite a stir here in the UK. It also adds to the puzzle as to what exact form the album will take. Watch this space.
