Happy New Year
The New Year begins with lots of positive comments and congratulatory messages concerning Jez’s new novel and CD “The Dillen Doll”, which really seems to have struck the right chord with longtime fans and new listeners alike. Promotion of the project is only just beginning, with copies being sent out to all the usual media outlets this week. There’s also a special Facebook page devoted to the project which should be showing up about now… Meanwhile, Jez is already starting his live appearances for the year, with a regular gig at The Customs House in South Shields, fittingly on the banks of the Tyne, on Sunday… Looking further ahead, we hear whispers of another collaboration with Jez’s long-time cohort, the Canadian songwriter James Keelaghan, currently being set up as a tour of North America in the Autumn, and good news for West Coast fans, they’ll be in California as part of that tour in October… There’s much happening before then of course, and Jez’s more regular collaboration with Steve Tilston will see the duo at a number of UK festivals this summer, including Sidmouth and Chester, plus a few more to be added… Thanks to everyone who came along to see Jez and The Bad Pennies on their recent marathon Christmas tour. There’ll be another tour of festive fun next December, we’re told, but that, thankfully, is a long way off!
