It’s Christmas Show time again!.. More radio… Album reviews…

Jez and the band start their annual Christmas tour this Thursday at Kirkby Malzeard Village Hall near Ripon, North Yorkshire, and it continues (with odd nights off for solo gigs and the Christmas period itself) until December 27th for their annual appearance at Gateshead’s Sage (for which extra seats have just been made available). Benny Graham is special guest on the tour as usual, and the first half of the tour will feature ex-Bad Penny Simon Haworth making a welcome return on bass. David De La Haye rejoins the band for the final few gigs. Jez has already been dropping a few of the show’s songs into the band’s set in the last couple of weeks, and a recording from last year’s tour of the song “Christmas List” is due for broadcast on Radio Tyneside’s “Geordie Hour” on Christmas Day. Full details of the tour are on the GIGS page of this site… Jez performed three songs on BBC Radio Leeds last Sunday, and is recording an interview for Radio Swindon’s “Crooked Road” folk show later this week. Meanwhile the new album THE BALLAD BEYOND has had some great reviews, with more to come. A track will be included in fRoots Magazine’s free sampler album in the next issue, by the way!… Watch out for the current tour by Badapple Theatre, with their production of Kate Bramley’s “The Mice that Ate Christmas”, which features songs and music by Jez.
