Jan 30th 2017 – Pitmen Poets… Tilston/Lowe… more…

The current Pitmen Poets tour is now steamrolling its way across the South of England, heading west from Kent to Somerset and Devon, then on to Swansea in South Wales, before the first “local” gig for the lads, at Durham’s Gala Theatre on Sunday, a show which is already sold out. They’re stirring up quite a bit of excitement along the way, and meeting up with lots of old friends – making new ones too, with “Lewis” actor Kevin Whately and MP Dennis Skinner among those who have popped in to see the show…

Meanwhile, Jez found time to zoom up to Glasgow’s Celtic Connections Festival earlier this week, to appear with Steve Tilston and open for Fairport Convention. There’ also a three page interview with the pair in the current issue of Scottish folk magazine Living Tradition, which hits the stands this week…

Note that Jez has a solo gig this coming Friday at The Beehive in Harthill, South Yorkshire, but that is also sold out.
