Pitmen Poets On Tour… Jez on the radio…

The Pitmen Poets tour of the UK – their final tour – is in full swing, and is causing quite a stir as it goes around the country. There’s a lot of old favourites as well as some new songs included in the show, and much of the high-jinx and banter that has made them so popular with audiences everywhere. Checkout their Facebook page for comments and pictures. The tour makes its way to North East England later this week, before heading south once again… Jez’s appearance as presenter on BBC Radio Four’s Open Country programme seems to have been a big hit. It has been broadcast twice, and is still available on the BBC website. We even get to hear Jez sing a verse of his song THE MILITARY ROAD, which he dedicates to Judy Dinning, for whom he wrote the song back in 1998… Jez’s new novel “The Corly Croons” is getting attention from the literary world, as well as from the usual folk music circles. New Writing North, one of the country’s leading book -festival and event promoters, will be featuring it in their next monthly web-blog, and Jez will start a promotional campaign early next month… Jez has just been interviewed for a leading folk music magazine, talking about his new book and his future plans. Watch out for more information on this soon.
