Still in the USA.
October 22, 2012
Jez is in New England, on the last leg of his current tour of America, with gigs in the Boston area, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania coming up in the days ahead. He was inteviwed on the W-USB radio show Sunday Street yesterday about the tour and the new compilation album HEADS UP, which is selling very well at concerts on the tour by all accounts. Jez is also faithfully (more or less) keeping up his My Space tour blog – link below – and seems on good form. Thanks to everyone who has sent in set lists from the shows, and up until last Saturday night Jez has apparently performed FORTY THREE different songs on this tour so far, including some surprises like a solo version of AUSTERITY ALPHABET from the Olympic Radio Ballads (along with regular appearances of JESSE OWENS and DORANDO from that series), BROCKIE LADS, DOVER DELAWARE, BIG FEAR and SODA MAN. Please keep sending in the set-lists and we’ll post some at the end of the tour. Other news… Rave mentions for The Unthanks’ versions of Jez’s shipbuilding songs on their current tour… Next year’s UK festival appearances booked so far include Chippenham and Tolpuddle… The Irish Music “land cruise” of The Bahamas, in February 2013 with Jez and Andy May, is proving of great interest. No surprise there!… Kate Bramley’s Badapple Theatre production “Eddie and the Gold Tops”, with music by Jez, is still on a successful tour in the uk – see www.badappletheatre.com for details.
