Bits and bobs… New CD… Live gigs…

There’s still no real news about Jez’s new album, which should be available by the beginning of November, just over four weeks away. Though we’ve been able to glean a few hints as to what songs will be on it, there’s been no formal announcement of tracklisting or title. It’s not even definite that some of the songs we’ve assumed will be included will actually be on the album. It looks like Jez’s next official on-line live show will be an album launch gig, probably sometime in the first week of November. As soon as we get a firm date, we’ll let you know… Jez is one of many artists who’ll be appearing as part of Tenterden Folk Festivals “virtual” event next weekend, 1st to 4th of October. Jez will be performing three new songs from the new CD on video. He wasn’t due to appear at the festival itself this year, but has played there several times in the past, as in this pic below.. Details can be found at Meanwhile Jez is advertised as doing a half-hour on-line showcase as a benefit for a foodbank in Leeds on Sunday November 1st at 7.45 pm – details can be found at
Hopes for two more shows before the end of the year, one an-on-line set with Steve Tilston and the other a socially-distanced concert with The Pitmen Poets, seem to have petered out due to recent changes in the UK lock-down situation, but Jez’s socially-distanced gig for Wessex Acoustic in Blandford Forum, Dorset on October 23rd is still scheduled to happen, though that could change at any time. Keep an eye on this news-page for updates on that… Watch out too for a forthcoming on-line duet featuring Jez Lowe and Dan Walsh, that Dan will be posting on his Facebook page within the next few weeks as part of a project that he’s been delivering for some time. There’s no details as yet as to what that might be, but it sounds enticing!… After quite a long gap, prompted presumably by Jez having to focus on the recording of the new CD, another chapter of his first novel “The Dillen Doll” will be appearing on Jez’s You Tube channel in the next week or, read by the author. It will be Chapter 7, so there’s still a long way to go. Jez’s second novel, “The Corly Croons” is due to be reviewed (at last!) in a prestigious on-line literary gazette in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed for another positive reaction…
