Bad Pennies Christmas tour – “Yule Do!”… New CD and novel out early next week!

This year’s Bad Pennies Christmas Show starts its annual tour tomorrow, December 1st at Shilton near Coventry, and continues to Ibstock in Leicestershire on Saturday, Worcester on Sunday and North Wingfield near Chesterfield on Monday. Dates continue later next week. Full details on the GIGS page of this site. As usual, it’s a mainly new show, with a few old favourites included from last year’s Christmas CD “Cauld Feet Again”. Benny Graham is special guest. Some shows are already sold out, as we’ve mentioned previously, so please check on ticket availability before turning up, or book in advance…. Those of us who have pre-ordered copies of Jez’s new novel and CD “The Dillon Doll” should be receiving them early next week. The special book-plus-CD package will be mailed out on Monday, and CD-only orders have already been mailed out in the UK. It’s expected that “a song or two” from the new album will be included in the Christmas Show… Jez is due to be interviewed on BBC Radio Lincolnshire on Wednesday December 6th at around 1pm, to talk about the Christmas show and about “The Dillen Doll”. It’s thought however that the bulk of any promo appearances will be early in the New Year… Finally, there’s a one-off show by The Pitmen Poets being rumoured for early next year, much to everyone’s surprise. As far as we know, all four members of the group will be involved, but it’s not thought that any other shows will be happening, due to other commitments by the lads. There’s still talk of another full-scale tour by the quartet, but it won’t be in 2018 as far as we can see.
