Jez is in Holland this week in the middle of a string of solo gigs that actually take him across the border into Germany tomorrow night for a show in Wulfrath. Last night in Utrecht he was joined by renowned bluegrass fiddler Joost van Es on a few songs at the end of his set. Murmurings surfacing again about an “Art Edition” re-issue of Jez’s 2002 album “Honesty Box“. Photo below shows the band line-up for the album, with Kate Bramley, Simon Haworth and the late Judy Dinning. There are no plans for a completely new album in the foreseeable future, and this is the only studio album on Tantobie Records that is currently unavailable. Bonus tracks are being discussed…
Next year’s return of The Pitmen Poets will involve a longer and more extensive tour, covering January and February, with many of the dates already in place. An announcement of the full itinerary will come later this year. The quartet are also playing at several UK festivals this summer…
