Jez is already out and about across the UK, with a bunch of solo gigs this month, and then a few (non-Christmas!) gigs with The Bad Pennies next month. The gig-list on this website is being updated regularly, with new shows being added every week. Jez also has a bunch of UK festivals lined up, details of which will be announced when the usual promoter’s embargo is lifted.

This year also sees another Pitmen Poets tour, starting in mid-June. As you may have already noticed, the lads will be a trio this time around, as long-time member Benny Graham is awaiting hospital treatment and has decided to pull back from the tour this time around. Hopefully he’ll be able to rejoin the band at a future date.

Looking even further ahead, Jez is back in Canada in November for another tour with long-time musical partner James Keelaghan, and dates for this are still being lined up. Watch out for an announcement soon.

Yet another announcement due soon will be the details of Jez’s next novel, which will be published in early summer, by which time all four of his earlier books should be back in print – copies of the first two, “The Dillen Doll” and “Corly Croons” have both sold out over the past few months, but should be available again soon.

Meanwhile, Jez’s latest album “Oubliette” is still getting loads of radio coverage around the world, after spending several weeks in the International Folk DJ Top 20 a few months back. Jez is still bringing in songs from the album into his current live set, with the title track, OUBLIETTE, HARDANGER ENGEL, FREEBODY’S WAKE, GET YOUR SKATES ON, BARRY AND THE ANTHRACITES, FROZEN ROMAN and SANCTUARY LAND all firmly set in his repertoire. We can expect more soon.

There are new songs on the way too! The new set-opener SILVER SPOON is proving particularly popular, as is the somewhat “left of centre” CONES,  which he has carried over from the recent Christmas tour. Jez has shared these and several others via his PATREON page, along with two videos on his use of guitar tunings and some exclusive archive tracks, in recent weeks. Details of how to sign up for Jez’s PATREON, for a very reasonable fee, can be found at the head of this page.
