The Janus Game is here… And some surprising news from The Pitmen Poets!

Pre-release orders for the new Jez Lowe/Steve Tilston album “The Janus Game” are being sent out this week, and the album will be officially released at the duo’s concert at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge on November 24th. Copies are likely to be available at their gigs, solo and together, between now and then. You can still buy the album by mail order from this website, of course, via the SHOP page, and Jez and Steve will likely be publicising the album at various places throughout November.

… Meanwhile, some very surprising news emerged from The Pitmen Poets camp earlier this week! On a Facebook post, showing a photo of the quartet in rehearsal a few days ago, Bob Fox commented with the startling news that the quartet are going into the studio to record a new album together next week, for release prior to their UK tour which starts in mid-January 2017. Their previous album, a live in-concert set, was released less than a year ago to coincide with their last tour, so no-one was really expecting a follow-up so soon. More news on this when we get it.

… Finally, the next programme in the BBC Radio Ballads series, “The Ballad of the Great War”, is broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday November 12th at 9pm. It includes several contributions from Jez, both as a writer and performer.
