News for the New Year

Happy New Year, and thanks to everybody for supporting Jez in his various endeavours and projects over the past twelve months. The recent Christmas tour with The Bad Pennies was a huge success, and the new Christmas CD “Snow Dancing” has sold amazing well, and continues to do so, despite the festivities being over and done with. 2024 is already shaping up to be one of Jez’s busiest, with solo gigs already happening across the UK, and the Canadian tour with James Keelaghan starting at the end of February. Jez is back out on the road in May with what is definitely going to be the FINAL tour by The Pitmen Poets, and then in June, a reprise of last year’s momentous Radio Ballads tour, featuring Jez with Julie Matthews and Bob Fox, will be heading around Britain, playing all those venues that they were unable to fit in last time.

This summer’s festival season is already looking busy, but we’ll hold back announcements for which events Jez has been booked for until we get the all-clear to do so.

Meanwhile, Jez’s FOURTH NOVEL is set to be published in May, following on from 2022’s “Piper’s Lonnen”, and continuing the story of “the stranger from the South” Evan Piper, as he settles into life in 19th Century Tyneside. Title and date of publication will be announced next month, and promotional events are already being set in place for later in the year.

Jez’s PATREON page is still attracting new subscribers and now features a regular weekly update with rare songs, videos, essays, archive recordings and much else being posted, plus a direct link with Jez to discuss ideas and suggestions.
