On the LIVE DATES section of this website we’ve cautiously listed some dates for Jez’s Christmas Tour with The Bad Pennies, in the hope that by December things will be safe enough for the tour to go ahead. There’ll be more dates for this tour listed in due course, and for other “real live” concerts that have been booked provisionally between now and the end of the year. Keep checking for further developments… Looking even further ahead, discussions are currently in hand for another tour by The Pitmen Poets, which will be happening, by popular demand, sometime in 2022. More details on this as and when… There are two magazine articles penned by Jez due for publication in the months ahead, one for a dulcimer-players’ quarterly (see pic below) and another for the local North East magazine Folk Roundabout, which featured a long interview with Jez in its last issue. We’ll give details of both of these when they’re made available… As previously announced, Jez’s next performance is via his Facebook page on Sunday April 25th, and is titled “A Coal Town Daze”. It will focus on his repertoire of mining songs… Watch out for a new venture beginning next month. Jez is to launch a Patreon scheme, which as many of you will know is a community-style website where Jez will be sharing exclusive music, blogs, on-line concerts and workshops on a sponsorship basis. It’s something that has been suggested by a number of Jez’s supporters who enjoy similar sites by other artists that they admire, and who pay a monthly fee for access to what is on offer. Due to the inevitable restrictions that will remain in place for some time to come, especially in terms of touring, both overseas and at home, Jez has decided that the Patreon scheme will be a suitable option to keep in contact with his friends and supporters around the world.
