The forthcoming CD of songs about forced child migration is due out on October 1st, and there’s been a last minute change to the title – it’s now called “The Ballads of Child Migration”, and the disc will be house in a book-sized cover with lyrics and sleeve notes. One of Jez’s songs, SNOW TO NOVA SCOTIA, is already in his current live repertoire. The credit for another track, LANDFALL, is “Jez Lowe with Coope Boyes and Simpson”. Some live shows were mooted to coincide with the release, but so far there’s no information on that…
Jez has a long list of solo gigs coming up, but will end the month with the last Broonzies gig of the year, at The South Downs Festival in Bognor Regis. There is now a suggestion that The Broonzies will continue next year, but with a revised line-up, though details of this are not yet known…
Jez’s solo gig at Bradford Topic next week is at a different venue to the one previously advertised. Jez will also be returning to The Channel Islands for a show, in Guernsey on September 30th, his first visit there in almost twenty years!
