Sept 21st 2015 – News Round Up.

Jez’s US tour starts on October 16th at Princeton New Jersey, and lasts until the end of the month – full details of all shows are on the LIVE DATES page of this site… Looking ahead a whole year, Jez is lining up dates in Australia, starting in mid-September 2016, and running directly into a Canadian tour which is booked for mid-October. It will be his first trip to Australia for four years, and like the Canadian trip, will be a solo tour… Copies of the new “Ballads of Child Migration” CD will be available at Jez’s UK gigs in November, all being well… Tickets for January’s Pitmen Poets concerts are already selling well, so get them as soon as you can, is the advice we’re hearing. The lads will also be appearing at some selected UK festivals next summer… The Broonzies appear on Sunday afternoon (Sept 27th) at the South Downs Festival in Bognor Regis this weekend. It’s their last gig of the year… Jez’s songwriting weekend at The Witham in Barnard Castle, County Durham, looks like being a popular event. Details at www.thewitham.org.uk … The Jez Lowe/Steve Tilston duo tour has been extended to include some UK dates next February. The tour kicks off at the Carry Stream Festival in Edinburgh on November 6th, and runs throughout the month… Tickets are also on sale for Jez’s “Mistletoe On Tyne” Christmas dates with The Bad Pennies, starting on December 1st, and ending with the traditional show at Gateshead’s Sage on December 27th. There’s still talk of a possible Christmas album to coincide with the tour, so watch this space…
