Jez’s new novel “The Corly Croons”, is out now, and will be officially launched at Sedgefield Bookends Festival in County Durham on October 13th. Copies can be bought mail-order via the SHOP page on this website, and sent to wherever you are in the world. It’s already selling like the proverbial hotcakes, so don’t delay in getting your own copy!
Please note that copies of the new book WILL NOT be available on the upcoming Pitmen Poets tour, which starts at The Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock on October 16th.
The new Pitmen Poets CD, “Seamless”, WILL be available at all the shows on their upcoming tour. It’s a mixture of live and studio recordings, and features one brand new Jez Lowe song, entitled LEATHER CAP AND TRAP LAD, along with the group’s versions of several of his other songs. The new album is already getting some great reviews.
Thanks to everyone who supported Jez on his recent American tour, which finished last weekend in Massachusetts. The concerts featured a broad cross-section of songs from Jez’s vast repertoire, and included two new songs, the much-praised THIS IS NOT MY TRIBE (see the video on this website), and a somewhat sly take on the UK’s current political situation, entitled I WANT TO BE ALONE, which proved to be very popular with audiences throughout the tour. Jez is planning on being back in the USA in October 2020.
Keep an eye on this page over the next few weeks for news about Jez’s next appearance as presenter on BBC Radio 4’s “Open Country” programme, and for news on the big Fellside Records reissue of all of Jez’s albums for the label from 1980 to 1993, which will also include bonus tracks and some live recordings!
