Venue change… More Radio Ballads…

The venue for Jez’s solo gig on Monday June 24th at Beverley has changed. It will now be at The Grovehill, 183 Holme Church Lane,
HU17 0PY… Jez spent the last week in France doing research for next year’s BBC Radio Ballads series, which will commemorate the 1914 – 18 First World War. Jez, along with fellow-writer Julie Matthews and producer John Leonard spent several days touring commemorative sites around the Somme and in Flanders. Photos and comments from the trip can be found on Jez’s website… Jez returned for a successful solo show at The Davy Lamp, Washington UK last weekend, where his famous live album was recorded thirteen years ago. The setlist included several new songs, and a first version of The Simian Son for quite a while. The You Tube film of it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQwQ_nPhx-o has totalled almost 10,000 hits.
